One-day workshop to introduce you to some basic camera acting concepts

Learn some fundamental skills to assist you in working with the camera.

This one-day session will introduce you to various techniques designed to enhance your ability to effectively convey performance on camera and interpret your director’s performance notes while on set.

Using Thought and Imagination to Communicate Character
Learn how to adapt your performance from the Full Shot to Close-Up
Tips on how to motivate blocking and share your work with the camera
Dealing with emotion on camera

Times, Dates, and Location

Location: TV/Film Studio at St Mary’s University, Waldegrave Road, Twickenham TW1 4SX
Time: Starts at 10:00 and finishes at 17:00
(Arrive ten minutes early at reception.)
Date: Saturday, the 20th of September 2025
Requirements: All participants will have to be over 18 to enrol and have some level of acting training.
